*The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest, most influential international wine competition in America, is judged by a prestigious panel of nationally recognized wine experts. Judging is based on a blind, consensual procedure, ensuring that its rigor and integrity remain the nation’s most respected competition.
**National Women’s Wine Competition – Sponsored by American Airlines. Featured in American Airlines Magazine. 1900 wines entered, and blind tasted by panel of 30 of the most accomplished and respected women in the wine industry – including winemakers, writers, educators, and master sommeliers.
***Grand Harvest Awards - Truly one of a kind! Established in 1990, it is the only wine-judging event in North America that is based on terroir - a group of vineyards (or even vines) from the same region, belonging to a specific appellation, and sharing the same type of soil, weather conditions, grapes and wine making savoir-faire, which contribute to give its specific personality to the wine.
****International Eastern Wine competition One of the oldest and largest competitions in the United States, this event is held each May in the Finger Lakes region of New York, topping over 2,200 entries in recent years with wines from 16 countries and 34 states.
Judges are wine-knowledgeable professionals, media specialists, and winemakers who represent major east coast markets from Miami to Toronto. Bronze medals require a unanimous panel vote for bronze, so any winning medals in the IEWC are worthy of merit.
*****Dallas Morning News Wine Competition – Largest commercial wine competition outside of California with 3,086 entries form 16 countries, and 26 states blind tasted by 56 judges
